Norwood dog park is a friendly dog park that I found quite by accident. It is a relatively well-utilised dog park located in a larger park. The larger park has a number of amenities: often including an outdoor skating rink in winter, tennis courts in summer, and a year-round (of course) playground. That said, the dog park itself does not have as much character as some of the others in the area. It’s large enough, with a few ,shade trees (although larger ones would be welcome). The availability of a fresh water tap inside the dog park make it great for dogs, and the dogs seem to be a bit better tempered on average than the ones in Stan Wadlow (my usual point of comparison, although perhaps it is the people who are ill-tempered there just as much as the dogs) (https://anothersaudience.vanderhoek.ca/2022/07/31/stan-wadlow-dog-park/).
All that said, I admit I sometimes find myself a bit bored at this park, and I typically stop by only relatively briefly. Beware days when it is dry and windy — the wind can whip-up sand in the air, which is not particularly good for humans to breathe, I don’t imagine it being good for dogs to breathe either; our visits are particularly short on such days.
Possible consideration: there is a public washroom for humans in the park as well (although I’ve never tried using it).
